Coyote Moon

In the valley where the full moon won't shine
Paces Coyote guarding all from a princess divine
One he will call his coven and his loving own
One with whom he will share his prankster throne.

Many the brave has fought to find her side
Many the boisterous, with fun in their glide
But one by one, they have fallen away
Till only the prankster is the one to stay.

He challenged her to eat all like the bear
And then he laughed with her as if it were their own private affair
He challenged her next to run like the deer
So she took over three full time careers!

Frustrated beyond his own custom belief
He howled and bayed at her nerves to find his relief!
She laughed and looked his fallen trees in the eye
Knowing he would hear from all of his spies!

She chopped the fallen trees with delight
Till a pile of chips were all that was left to sight,
She ate like the princess she knew of old
And she did it with passions open and bold.

Till on the day she confronted Coyote in his lair
confronting his vengeance with only a stare!
With no words or uttering a sound
Princess Becky knew she had bested and been found!

Out of that shadow less canyon she strode
With walls and banks of problems to erode
Confident, full of life once more
She is the one all will want to be with and adore!

Her life lays before her, not back with Coyote pranks
And for this she often gives thanks
But Coyote only sits there and grins
For no matter her choices, he always wins!

Coyote is loving, laughter and life
But he is also pranks, disaster and strife
His role in life is not to make an end
But only to help people understand and make amends.

Where will Princess Becky go now you ask
That is her life, and that is her task.
